With the constant changes in the job market many of us are working from home. If that involves handling personal or financial information for your company, clients, or employees, you could have a data security issue on your hands. As you and your employees adjust to this “new normal,” you cannot afford to compromise the security of the information that your people handle each day.
So what are you and your employees doing with sensitive documents handled at home? Throwing it out with the trash? Putting it at the curb with the household recycling? None of these are acceptable methods of disposal and they certainly don’t comply with laws such as HIPAA, FACTA, Gramm Leach Bliley and other regulations designed to protect personal information.
Secure Work-from-Home Document Destruction
To address the concerns of safe document destruction in these unprecedented times, Armstrong Archives is offering a new home data security solution. When you partner with us for secure document shredding, each of your employees can receive The Defender — a locked, deskside collection container for papers slated for destruction. This compact bin is designed for home workstations and stays locked until it returns to our secure facility for shredding.
Just like our full-size office containers, once a document is placed inside The Defender, it cannot be removed until it’s back at Armstrong Archives for destruction. You can schedule routine pickups at your preferred frequency.

Armstrong Archive’s FAQs
How secure is home shredding compared to office shredding?
Home service uses the same locked containers, tracked pickups, and certified destruction as our office program—plus a Certificate of Destruction for your records.
What if I need a document that’s already in the container?
Containers remain locked. Request Scan-on-Demand before the next pickup and we’ll securely digitize and deliver the file, then proceed with destruction.
Can we coordinate service for multiple remote employees?
Yes. We’ll deploy The Defender containers to each participant, align pickup routes, and centralize billing and reporting for simple program oversight.
