FAQs
All businesses are required to keep records, whether electronic or on paper. Often they can face challenges effectively archiving large amounts of data and information.
Keeping track of and having enough space to properly and efficiently store records can be troublesome and costly. Your company can save time and money outsourcing storage and document scanning to the professionals at Armstrong Archives. An independent, locally owned document management company with more than 30 years experience, Armstrong provides you a reliable, secure and economic solution to your document storage needs.
Can I use my own box?
Yes, but your box must conform to certain requirements. The size must be a 1.2 cubic foot “standard record carton” and it must have a lid. It cannot be torn or crushed. We do offer standard cartons for sale to both customers and non-customers. These boxes are of the highest quality and are usually priced less than other supply houses or big box retailers.
How are the boxes stored?
Boxes are stored by placing them on shelves in our secure warehouse. They are identified with a unique barcode number and tracked through our proprietary computer systems.
How do I request my records or box in case of an emergency?
In the case of an emergency you can call our office phone and leave a message on the emergency extension. This automatically calls our staff any time 24/7 and relays your message immediately.
Do you have a pickup and delivery option?
There are many options for you in accessing or sending records to/from Armstrong Archives:
• Full Pick Up and Delivery – you provide the data on quantity and date, and we will take care of the rest.
• You can pick up or deliver your own records.
• You can come to our offices and review your records avoiding the need for any delivery.
• You can have files scanned and emailed to you.
• You can have files or boxes mailed or shipped (UPS) to you or anywhere you designate.
How long can I store items with you all?
As long as you wish. There are no limits to length of time. But if you wish to track how long your records have been in storage so you can shred them after a certain length of time, we can help you with that also.
Can I pay for my service online?
Yes, you go to our website (www.armstrongarchives.com) and select the “Pay Invoice” button. We also accept ACH funds transfer.
How do you differ from your competitors?
Most of our competitors are very large worldwide corporations that answer to stockholders and board members. We do not, we only answer to our customers. Because of that we can offer better and more flexible and personal service at a reasonable rate.
Is your storage area climate controlled?
We offer both climate controlled and standard warehouse space for any of your needs.
Am I limited to just storing paper items?
No, but you cannot store any chemicals or hazardous materials.
Why Use Armstrong Archives Off-Site Records Storage Services?
Save Space
Archives documents take up space, clutter the office, and make you less productive. File storage often takes up valuable real estate that could be used for company expansion. For those who have moved to a virtual office environment – as a result of the shift to a remote workplace – storing paper documents is even more difficult. Armstrong Archives records storage services allow your business to free up much needed space in the office, wherever that may be.
Security
To protect your physical files from being compromised, Armstrong Archives stores them in a secure building with a specially designed archiving warehouse. If desired, you can choose to store your files in a separate climate-controlled area at our Carrollton, Texas, based location. The controlled setting reduces potential for deterioration of the physical records you are storing. We also offer secure document and media destruction services in our suburban Dallas warehouse location, should you need those services.
